Dear Buckley families,
Camp has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I attended day camp throughout my childhood and teenage years, and I can say with confidence that many of the experiences, friendships, and lessons I gained at camp helped shape the person I am today.
Before joining the Buckley family, I had the opportunity to work at camps throughout the local area, serving in a variety of roles—from counselor and group leader to division head and director. I also spent seven years teaching Pre-K. These experiences have shaped my leadership style and given me a deep understanding of the camp experience, child development, and, most importantly, the children and families we are privileged to serve.
I have been fortunate to be part of the Buckley camp community for the past 14 years, and it is truly an honor to serve as Camp Director. Over the years, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact that a positive camp experience can have on a child. Camp is a place where children can discover new interests, build confidence, develop independence, form meaningful friendships, and simply be themselves. My team and I are deeply committed to preserving the values and traditions that make Buckley so special while continuing to bring new energy, creativity, and ideas to our program.
My goal is to ensure that every child has a summer that is not only fun, but also meaningful and memorable. We intentionally create an environment where children can explore, grow, try new things, challenge themselves, and, most importantly, be a kid. Our small camp community allows us to truly get to know each child, meet them where they are, and help them have a summer experience that is uniquely their own.
As we look ahead to another summer at Buckley, I remain committed to maintaining the high standards and personal attention that families have come to expect from our camp. We will continue to provide the safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment that has made Buckley a true summer home away from home for so many children and families.
