Sometimes, you just want to relax and unwind with a good movie, book, or even TV show. With the weather getting colder and colder, the winter provides a good opportunity for you to sink your teeth into some cozy TV shows to watch. Here are some of our favorites!

Abbott Elementary

One of the best cozy TV shows to watch this winter includes Abbott Elementary! There’s a reason why Abbott Elementary has received rave reviews and won numerous awards since its 2022 premiere! Perhaps the one of the best shows to come around in recent years, Abbott Elementary details the mishaps of passionate teachers, a wacky principal who does anything but her job, and an adorable student body and their shenanigans.

Abbott Elementary is a great watch for parents and children alike, as there’s something relatable for everyone on the show. Parents get an inside look at the struggles teachers face in educating children (from a wholesome perspective!), while also reliving their childhood! Children can also relate to the situations they experience alongside their teachers — especially when it comes to things like going on field trips and fundraising. There’s a reason it’s won multiple Emmy Awards!

The Office

It wouldn’t be a list of best TV shows to watch this winter without The Office! Following the inner workings of Scranton-based paper company Dunder Mifflin, viewers get to see quirky boss Michael Scott leading the charge amongst his co-workers — often wreaking havoc (inadvertently!) and causing mayhem along the way. Who can forget when Michael drove his car into the lake?!

On top of that, viewers get to see firsthand the love story between Jim and Pam, Dwight and Angela, and the hijinks of other Dunder Mifflin employees like Stanley, Andy, and Creed! With 9 seasons and 201 episodes, The Office provides endless entertainment and laughs!

Parks and Recreation

Similar to The Office, Parks and Recreation is a TV show that follows Leslie Knope and her journey through the Indiana government. A zany do-gooder, Knope (played by Amy Poehler) quickly captures the hearts of viewers with her positive attitudes despite the challenges she faces.

Flanked by classic characters like Ron Swanson, April Ludgate, and Andy Dwyer, the quirkiness of the entire cast and the smart writing will have you laughing for hours!

Cozy TV Shows Include Full House

cozy tv showsGoing back in time to the 1990s, another one of those cozy TV shows to watch this winter includes Full House! This American sitcom classic follows the Tanner family as they deal with everyday situations that many families face. The show offers a poignant outlook on the importance of family and makes for a great watch for parents and children alike.

With many lessons to be learned, Full House is a must-watch. With beloved characters like Michelle Tanner, Uncle Jesse, and Danny Tanner (RIP Bob Saget!), Full House’s cast will leave you laughing while also teaching you some valuable lessons in the process!

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air

Continuing our venture into the 1990s, we have to take a look back at The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air! Like Full House, Fresh Prince was full of laughs, but also lessons to be learned. With a legendary set of characters like Carlton, Uncle Phil, and Will, there’s a reason why this show has cemented its place amongst the greats in television history.

Though the show will have you laughing, the show will also teach you good family values and how to appreciate those around you. As Will moves in with his family in Bel-Air after a troubled youth, Fresh Prince perfectly weaves humor and real-life situations into the show. Thus, Fresh Prince rounds out our list of cozy TV shows to watch this winter!
