How do you handle swimming lessons at Buckley?
Buckley uses the American Red Cross (ARC) learn to swim program for all of our campers age 3 to 12. Under the direction of a very talented Aquatics Director with over 30 years of experience the swim program uses the talents of the aquatics staff comprised of American Red Cross (ARC) certified Water Safety Instructors and ARC and Nassau County certified lifeguards in very small group ratios.
Is your camp Co-ed?
Yes, Buckley is co-educational in all age groups. We believe that co-ed groups are both a natural extension of our world and good preparation for your child’s academic life.
How do you handle tipping the staff?
We are a NO-Tipping camp. Counselors and staff earn bonuses through an incentive program administered by the camp director and the division leaders. If you decide to go above and beyond this, that is a personal decision.
How is the food at Buckley?
It's great! Kid friendly, nutritious and perfect for camp. Campers in 2nd grade and above eat buffet style outside under the "Big Top." Junior campers eat family style inside in our dinning hall.
